Neuromuscular Reedecation

Neuromuscular Reeducation

Techniques performed along with a physical therapist designed to improve balance, coordination, and proprioception (knowing where your body is in space). These have been proven to reduce a patient’s fall risk at home and in the community. They are often used to reeducate a patient with neurological deficits such as a stroke, brain injury, or diabetic neuropathy. They are also recommended during rehabilitation of an orthopedic surgery or sports injury.
