Senile Dementia

Senile dementia, often referred to as simply “dementia,” is a general term to describe a group of symptoms such as impaired thinking and loss of memory capabilities. Senile dementia refers to when these symptoms associate with a cognitive decline during aging late in life, however dementia can also appear in tandem with other causes such as Huntington’s Disease and Parkinson’s Disease.

Since dementia is a syndrome (syndromes describe a set of symptoms instead of a specific cause), there is no specific treatment. However, if the cause of the dementia is determined (such as a vitamin deficiency), the symptoms can possibly be reversed.
